Val d'Isère and Tignes with the Killy space

Val d'Isère is one of the first chalets ski resorts to be born in the French Savoy, the village has an exceptional charm. The buildings are made of stone and wood with slate roofs. It is a postcard station which is located at the bottom of a great altitude valley,.

The Espace Killy area is one of the largest ski areas in the world with about 300 km of slopes between Val d'Isère and Tignes and two of the highest glaciers in Europe: the Grande Motte at 3600 meters above sea level and at Pissaillas in Val d'Isère at 3200 meters. There are many off-piste areas and skiing here is sporty and quite demanding,; you can also learn to ski here, but you can fully enjoy the ski resort if you already are a good skier.

The resort of Tignes is of younger construction, the buildings are much more in the style of the 70s - 80s resorts. It is the most sporting city in France, you may perhaps come across one of the many French teams, who come to do an altitude oxygenation week. Many sport facilities have been built here, for example the lagoon allows swimming at an altitude of 2200 meters on the shores of the Tignes Lake.

Les Arcs and La Plagne with Paradiski

Welcome to the second largest ski area in the world, with 450 km of slopes: you can change the landscape several times during the week.

Two glaciers at more than 3000 meters characterize this area: the Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs at 3226 meters and Bellecôte in la Plagne at 3300 m.

Les Arcs and La Plagne have a fairly sporty ski area, with easy access to go back to your main station and with many beautiful off-piste itineraries. The resort has a lower part at an altitude of 1200 meters, in case of bad weather you can ski in the woods instead of being stucked inside!

Sainte Foy: the small ski resort with its amazing Off-Piste slopes

The small Tarentaise resort with a magical atmosphere: a great small area that, by once you carry the skis for a little while, the resort can grow very quickly!

La Rosière de Montvalezan with La Thuile in Italy

The Espace San Bernardo is as sunny as it is snowy, it is the only resort on southern slopes in Tarentaise, but given the amount of snow that falls here, there is no problem! You can ski in Italy and enjoy Italian gastronomy, with one of the most beautiful views  in the Alps on the Mont Blanc chain.

Skiing is fairly easy on the slopes in general but there are also some difficult slopes. The ski station village is quite pretty with many possible activities…

The Three Valleys with Méribel, Courchevel and Les Ménuires

Welcome to the largest ski area in the world with 600 km of ski slopes, you will find all types of accommodation in this resort. Méribel is at the center of this ski area and Courchevel is known for being the chic resort of the Three Valleys! The Ménuires valley, with Val Thorens, is the most sporty at more than 2,200 meters above sea level. For those who want a small quiet village, you can even come from the Maurienne, skiing via Orelle.

The Chamonix Valley and its villages

Chamonix is ??one of the most beautiful destinations for skiing, the different ski areas are not as interconnected as in Savoie, but the view of Mont Blanc is magnificent.

The area is generally lower than in Savoie, the slopes are quite difficult except in Saint Gervais and Les Contamines.

The resort was built around the village, with Savoyard and English architecture mixing together, which makes it one of the most beautiful mountain cities in France. After a mandatory visit to the Aiguille du Midi, if you have a good level of alpine skiing you can ski down the famous Mer de Glace.

Take a trip to the Aosta Valley in Italy at the feet of Mont Blanc in Courmayeur

Courmayeur is the twin resort of Chamonix, but characterized by the Italian charm: you will be skiing on Mont Blanc southern slope.
The landscape of the southern slope of Mont Blanc is “Himalayan” and quite impressive.
The ski lifts allow you to ski in the Val Veny, on fairly easy slopes. The Val Ferret is reserved to very good skiers, who climb to the Pavillon or to the Pointe Helbronner with the SkyWay, for off-piste descents.

Breuil Cervinia with its ski resort linked to Zermatt in Switzerland and the Monte Rosa Massif

It is the largest resort in the Valley of Aosta, in Italy, with a high altitude glacier: the summit of Gobba di Rollin rises to 3899 meters.
The Monte Rosa massif and the Matterhorn are omnipresent.
You will be skiing in one of the most beautiful settings on the ski planet.
You can also go to Switzerland to enjoy Zermatt. It is surely the most beautiful ski resort in Italy with charming chalets and modern accommodation too.

The small Italian ski resorts, in the secret valleys of the Gran Paradiso National Park

Cogne

It is a small Italian pearl, the village is nestled in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps at the feet of Gran Paradiso (4061 mt). It is a cross-country skiing paradise with a pretty ski resort, here the Gran Paradiso National Park protects large areas. Ski touring is one of the main activities in the valley, with great ski touring itineraries possible. The charm of the valley and its architecture may make you wanna come back to discover in the beauty of these mountains during summer!

Pila and Aosta

A ski resort in the middle of the city! Aosta is a charming city with a medieval air: the Romans left many vestiges here, it is the second city after Rome with so many vestiges. You can take the Pila cable car from the center of Aosta and ski for the day at the feet of Mont Emilius.

Skiing in Switzerland in the most beautiful ski resorts in Wallis

Champex Lake

A beautiful village ski resort, aside its very pretty lake: there are many Swiss chalets, with a small and very interesting ski area a few steps from Verbier.

Verbier and the 4 Valleys

The Verbier resort is one of the largest in the world and its ski station is very different from the big French resorts: here skiing is often much more demanding and technical.

The slopes are sometimes impressive, it is better to find out about where the black slopes are before getting into difficulty.

Verbier is one of the most beautiful resorts in the world with secure off-piste skiing like you can find nowhere else in the Alps, the village atmosphere is magical...
